FAQ

What is microfiber?
Microfiber cloth is a blend of polyester and polyamide fabric that when combined with the correct knitting pattern makes for a very soft and very absorbent cleaning cloth. Microfiber has the ability to lift dirt and oil from surfaces and trap the dirt and oil in its fibers. Also, because of its very fine fibers, microfiber does not scratch even the most delicate surfaces.

Why microfiber?
Cleaning the screen of any personal electronics device with your t-shirt just smears the dirt and oil. Instead of lifting the dirt and oil, you end up pushing it into the crevices and seams around your screen (ooh, gross!). And at the same time, you run the risk of permanently scratching the screen. iRagz microfiber cloths lift the dirt and oil and leave your stuff shiny and clean.

How do you use an iRagz cleaning cloth?
iRagz microfiber cleaning cloths can be used dry or damp – with a little cleaning solution or without. If your stuff is really dirty, use a little water or cleaning solution to dampen the rag, and then wipe away! By the way, iRagz are not just for cleaning the screens of your stuff – use them to clean anywhere your little fingers leave prints.

Are iRagz cleaning cloths ‘Green’?
By ‘Green’ we mean environmentally friendly – and the answer is ‘Yes’. iRagz cleaning cloths are re-usable and washable. Use  the rags repeatedly, and wash them when they seem sufficiently dirty. Just think, if you were to use an iRagz cleaning cloth instead of tissues to clean your iPhone or iPod for one whole year, you might save a really, really small tree, or maybe even a few paper airplanes.

How do you clean an iRagz cleaning cloth?
All you need to clean these microfiber cloths is warm water and soap. Fill your bathroom sink with a little warm water, add a couple drops of laundry detergent, and scrub-a-dub. Make sure you rinse really well to get all the soap out of the cloth. You can also put the cloths in the washing machine, and then dry it on low heat in your clothes dryer. If you go this route, do not use fabric softener, as the softener will clog the microfibers. You will know it is time to clean the cloth when the cloth does not pick the grease up right away.

How hard do you push when you use the cloth?
You may think that you need to put some serious elbow grease into cleaning the screens of your mobile media devices, but you will actually find that the cloth cleans much better if you don't push down too hard. Lightly rub the cloth across the screen, and you will see the microfiber pick up the dirt and oil much better.
